The Ashford Business Show will form part of Brilliant Businesses’ expanding programme of one-day business exhibitions across Kent and the South East, creating an accessible platform for businesses of all sizes to raise their profile, make new connections, generate leads and develop new opportunities.
Ashford has a substantial and diverse business community. Ashford Borough Council’s latest published figures identify 6,490 VAT and/or PAYE-registered businesses in the borough, with more than 90% classified as micro businesses.
The Council’s support of the new Business Show also complements its wider work to encourage economic development and business growth across the borough. Its Economic Development team supports existing businesses, organisations considering relocating to Ashford and projects designed to promote the urban and rural economy.
