“I had a sustainability/renewable business called the Sneaker Laundry concentrating on recycling old sneakers or trainers, making them new again, rather than going out and buying a new pair. When I was setting up the website for the business, one of the guys mentioned electric car chargers – I’ve always been interested in cars and it played on my mind for around a year, I didn’t do anything about it, but it was always kicking around my mind. “I retired from the printing world and got totally bored – I’m very interested in wine so wanted to create a business model that showcased English Wine. We built the wine tour around English wine and gave people the experience, taking them for a walk on the South Downs National Park, as well as Ashdown Forest, have a lovely pub lunch, then take them to an English vineyard and have a wine tasting experience and tour of the vineyard. “Before I moved into the studio that I now have on The Pantiles, I had to strip it out, it was a complete mess and not very nice at all. I got a big contractor who went to work stripping the whole shop out and putting it back together. It looks exactly how I visualised it, with a wedding photography gallery at the front, and a portrait studio to the rear. All of this happened in June 2022 and I eventually opened 1st August 2022.
